Overview
AudioTranscriber does not collect, store, transmit or share any personal data. All audio processing happens entirely on your device using an on-device AI model (Whisper). No audio, transcription or any other data ever leaves your phone or tablet.
Data we do not collect
- Voice messages or audio files
- Transcription results
- Chat content or any imported file
- Identifiers, device information or usage statistics
- Location data
On-device processing
AudioTranscriber uses the open-source Whisper AI model running entirely on your device. The model is downloaded once and stored locally. Transcription is performed offline, without any network connection.
Imported files
Audio and video files, as well as ChatVault archives you import into AudioTranscriber, are read locally and never copied outside of your device storage. Transcription results are saved in the app's private storage.
PDF export and sharing
When you export a PDF or share a transcription, the file is passed to your device's standard system share sheet. RP Apps has no access to where or how you share that file.
In-app purchase
The optional Pro unlock is handled entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play. RP Apps does not receive or store any payment information.
Children
AudioTranscriber does not collect any data from users of any age. It is safe to use regardless of age.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this URL. Because we collect no data, there is no impact on users from previous versions.
